New blog...

My friend (Hi Dana!) recommended a new blog for me today and I have put it over to the right under the "Must Visit". It is the funniest thing I have ever looked at....this girl is so funny I had to quit reading because I was laughing so hard I was crying! I hope you find it as funny as I do!

While I am plugging blogs...my dad is also blogging! It is also found to the right under "Pops Pontificates". While this will probably not be considered 'light hearted' like the above blog, you might find it interesting enough to spar with him! :-)

Juicy Couture....not just yet!

Hayden decided this afternoon to pull out her sewing machine, my left over various fabrics and her dress form. She whipped (serious...like 30 minutes total) together this skirt and decided to wear it the rest of the day! No hems, elastic or straight anything....
Did I mention that she has wanted to go to the Fashion Institute? To be 11 again...

Our nightly walk...

After a boring day of laundry and house chores in prep of leaving town tomorrow, we took our nightly walk and came home with a few photos. The rest of the week will be full of trip blogs. :-)

For years....my favorite thing to do has been get up on Saturday morning and go to yard sales! Today was no different! Hunting a bargain is always fun! :-)

Do you see what I see?

Everyday when I sit on the front steps I look at one of the large oaks in my yard and it just strikes me as funny! Do you see the face? The top two knots are the eyes...the one that sticks out is the nose and the one with the black mark looks like he has his mouth cocked sideways whistling or side smiling?!?!?!?! See it?

Day 3...

Picture 1 - This is Pat Conroy's year round home. Very unpretentious... Picture 2 - These are some form of Myrtle trees (wax, I believe)...they have beautiful flowers!
Picture 3 - Hayden swimming (duh!)...she had her first bout with Swimmers Ear when we left for the beach on Friday so she is wearing ear plugs this week while it is still healing.
Hint..you can click on the picture and it will blow up and you can see then why I pick the pictures I do (like the one of Hayden swimming above) They usually have fun detail. :-)

Remembering...

I have had my nephew, James, all week so I took he and Hayden down to the gardens and snapped some pictures and this one stood out as a winner! :-)

Yum...

We went to our favorite Sunday lunch spot and stopped by the fruit farm! We picked up some ripe early peaches, blackberries and of course some delicious strawberries!
