Summer Field Trip #1....

Yesterday, we went to the State Museum with Molly and

"Super Pete"!

They had fun learning about the telegraph machine

and astronomy,

and lots of other science experiments!

At the end of the day, they enjoyed unwinding with the all the stuffed animals in the
"6 and under" playroom!
Oh well, who said 12 wasn't 6? Feels like it some days...

(threw this in because it's cute!)

and, well,this is some kind of weird science experiment! :-)

Wordless Wednesday... ♫ Here's a Story...♫

An unlikely pair....

For 12 years,

I have been learning

how to use the computer.

Having a computer geek for a husband,

I have often relied on him to get me through

the basics!

Somewhere through the years though I have developed

a confidence...

one I didn't realize I had...

until last year!

I have never

liked a camera!

I have never wanted my picture taken! EVER!

I like to look at pictures....

and I want to have pictures...

just never wanted to use a camera!

Who knew

that in one year

I would have gone from the trusty

point and shoot

to this?

The point to this story you ask?

Well ,in one year...

I have used my newly found computer confidence

and

my new love for the camera

(behind it of course)

to create

one of my proudest

accomplishments!

I can't believe my 'baby' just finished 6th grade on Friday! Where has the time gone?
These are a few pictures from the last 2 days of school which were award days (one athletic/activity and the other academic).

Brent got a new car!

Dance Recital weekend...

The last week has been very busy! Brent's parents came in from Texas to visit for a week. We were so busy that I never pulled out the camera. Pitiful! Saturday night was the last dance of the year and both sets of grandparents were here to watch. Thanks to Trish...I have these 3 photos to share with everyone!

Blast from the past #1.....

Last night, Hayden found a disk with a bunch of old pictures on it. We had a really good time looking through them. Since they are now in my Picasa, I thought I would start a new reoccurring post.

She's back....

Hayden had her cast removed last week and is back on the ball field. Her ankle is still somewhat tender but was cleared to play.
We are sooooo proud of her...she hit a true double last night (not an error double)!
