Organizing #1....
There is something about Christmas break and organizing!
This looks like a normal closet door but it's what hides behind the door that is scary!
OMG!!!!!!!This looks like a normal closet door but it's what hides behind the door that is scary!
After a couple of hours and plenty of interruptions, this is what it looks like now!
For the 2 Dana's in my life, I took close-ups because you will be asking what stuff says....
And I know Dana G. will be asking about the boxes on the bottom, those are seasonal children's books!

Project picture #8....
I guess it's time to explain more about our remodel. My sister, Molly and her husband bought a new house back in the summer and have been in the process of 'gutting' and remodeling. They had some great pieces that were being thrown out so we had them set them aside for us. Now that the room is painted and the flooring has been torn out, we were ready to rent the truck and drive over and pick it all up. It took 5 guys to load it and 7 to unload. :-)

Merry Christmas....
We were in Charlotte for Christmas this year and as always we have had a great time. I got a new camera for Christmas but will write more about that later. :-) In the meantime, I thought I would share a few pictures from the day and the camera.
Picture 1) one of my favorite ornaments (it's hard to find things with her name)
Picture 2) Her Santa loot....Picture 1) one of my favorite ornaments (it's hard to find things with her name)
Picture 3) One of my favorite expressions of the day....
Picture 4) the other great face of the day.....
We hope that you and your family enjoyed your day together as much as we have!

Project picture #7....
Well the remodel has continued even though my blogging has not....I have plenty of pictures coming your way!
After much (too much) pondering, we finally chose a color for the room. It was based on the the future because like all projects it will lead to updating the connecting rooms! :-) So...I was smart this time and have picked all the new colors that will be involved!
As you will see in picture #3 and #4, the charming linoleum was also removed!
Wait till you see where were at now....sorry that won't be for a few days...we have Christmas and lots more steps!

Train ride...
We went to Charlotte a couple of weekends ago for family Christmas and while we were there we took the kids on the new light rail uptown to the Children's theatre to see a play. On the way back, they wanted to make sure that they were in the front! :-)

Christmas Play...
Hayden had her school Christmas play this week and had one of the lead roles. I have a video of her doing her part that I will add later this weekend but I wanted to post this picture of Hayden!
Oh...you can't see Hayden? That's because the former SC Governor and our current Mayor are blocking the view! :-)

Piano Recital....
The recital finally arrived! Remember the last update?
Although she had a couple of mistakes (nerves I would guess), I think she did a fantastic job!
BTW, she had it completely memorized! I'm not sure why she took her book up there.
