A rare event....

We awoke to snow!

Ferns found naturally in my yard should not be covered in snow!

BUT...the best part of today!

Winter sunset...

It's been record breaking cold here the last couple of days but it didn't stop Brent from capturing a really pretty sunset last night over the frigid lake!

Ellen ~ 5 months...

She hasn't grown a whole lot more so I'm thinking she will wind up being on the smaller side. She also has short legs, I think! Still very sweet but loves to rough house with Fergie...as you will see below!

Basketball Season....

started today! This year she moved up to the middle school team so a little more serious and hard core! Like softball, she claims to enjoy it and gets better every year but is definitely not going to be playing WMBA! :-)

1) She is actually guarding this year! (she's the one straight ahead in green)

2) She rebounds....

3) She shoots....and she scores 2 of the 10 total points(1/20th)! Sorry it's blurry.... hard to shoot and scream at the same time!

I'm so proud of my little non-athlete!

Activity Coordinator....

At least that would be her job title in any other geriatrics ward....

Hayden pulled out the blow up mattress to lay on while she watched tv tonight. What she didn't know is that she would have the company of the two oldest animals in the house. Sam (the dachshund) is the oldest (16) and Tabitha (14). They are currently having a race to see who can get to heaven first. (seriously...talking soon...)
Anyway...it was a very rare and sweet site!

8:15 pm tonight.......

that's what time our beloved Sooners play for the National Championship! I have been saving some pictures from the fall trip in hopes that I would be able to use them for this event! Brent and I were lucky to be students in the mid 80's when the only thing we knew were 'championships'! It will be very exciting around here tonight....

Project Picture #9....

This is where we are at right now in the progression of the the mudroom. All the freecycle cabinetry and fridge are installed and the fridge is full! :-)
We are at a bit of a standstill because we are waiting on the handyman (not Brent) to come move the floor vent and then Brent can start tiling!

We spent New Year's Eve at a Tattoo Parlor! Hayden was our 'artist' and Pete was her 'apprentice'! We all got one! Some got more then one....
